Nikki Christian - Supervisor

I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice, Level 2 award in Paediatric First Aid and Level 2 award in Food Safety in Catering.

I have worked at Village Under 5's Pre-school for 20 years and, before that, I volunteered as a parent helper when my two children attended the pre-school.

In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, sewing, shopping and taking my dog for walks over the Downs.

Gail Mouland - Deputy Supervisor

I hold many child orientated qualifications including, but not limited to, Level 3 City and Guilds, Level 2 Paediatric First Aid and Makaton Level 3.

I first started going to Courthope Playgroup and Toddler Group (as Village Under 5s was then called) in 1980 with my eldest son. I helped to run a parent led baby group, before my son went on to the toddlers and play group. I then joined the committee, and when my middle son attended the group, I became Secretary. At that time Courthope Centre changed its name to The Village Centre, and we became The Village Under 5's Pre-school and Toddler Group.

I started working at Village Under 5's Pre-school in 1992. I have held an assortment of roles including Toddler Supervisor, Pre-school assistant and Special Needs Ancillary. I have seen many changes within the Pre-school and have helped to prepare hundreds of children for "big school", and have welcomed some of their children to Pre-school!

When not at work, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and grandchildren, and going to see my son's rock band play.

Frances Phillips - Health and Safety Co-ordinator and Pre-school Assistant

I have worked at Village Under 5's Pre-school since 1998.

My qualifications include: Level 2 Certificate in Pre-school Practice, Level 2 award in Health and Safety in the Workplace and Level 2 award in Food Safety in Catering.

I started as bank staff, but quickly moved up to Assistant/Keyworker.

I am Mum to three grown up children, of whom the youngest attended Village Under 5's Pre-school. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the theatre and supporting my son, who plays badminton for Sussex County.

Janet Tunnicliffe - Bank Staff

I have worked at Village Under 5's Pre-school for the past 7 years.

I hold a Level 2 Certificate in Pre-School Practice (with Distinction), a certificate of attendance in Understanding Pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions in the Nursery Setting, and have attended a Makaton workshop.

I volunteered to join The Village Under 5's committee while my two sons attended The Village Under 5's Toddler Group and Pre-school. I helped run the toddler group for 10 years as a supervisor until its closure in 2007. I then joined the Village Under 5's Pre-school staff.
